Owner + Makeup Artist
Jackie has been in the industry since 2013. A graduate of both BU’s College of Communications and Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, Jackie brings unique experience to Axle as both owner and artist.
Prior to Axle, Jackie worked in business development and customer relations management, in addition to serving as the Assistant to the Director of the Boston Film Festival. As early as grade school, Jackie would watch her mother apply makeup, then replicate the look not only on herself, but also on her sister and friends – later styling their hair and wardrobe and taking “modeling” photos to capture the full look.
Today, Jackie offers both in-salon and on-location makeup services for weddings, engagement sessions, rehearsal dinners, proms, advertising campaigns, fashion, editorial, TV/film, corporate and special events. When asked “Why Axle?” Jackie said, “As an artist under the Axle umbrella, I pride myself on providing my clients with a completely personalized, professional, ‘celebrity’ makeup experience, with longwearing, camera-ready makeup that also looks and feels amazing in person. Whether the client prefers a natural look or something more glam, I love to bring their vision to life, highlighting the beauty within everyone, and leaving each client feeling like they can conquer the world.”
Owner
As one of the owners of Axle Color Studio, Alex’s goal was “to create a warm and elegant, yet cutting-edge salon, where clients could enjoy the ultimate beauty experience without the hassle of traveling into the city – a place unlike and unrivaled by any salon in the area; an environment that clients love, want to be in, and are in no rush to leave from. I researched the dos and don’ts of the best salons in the country and made sure that every inch of Axle would reflect the highest possible quality. The salon was designed for maximum comfort, service, elegance and practicality. I believe we have accomplished that in growing Axle, and I want to earn the right to say that we are the best salon in the area.”
Stylist + Microblading Artist
Ashton has been in the industry since 2013. Her specialties include blondes, balayage, color correction and extensions. Having attended both Hair’s How Modern School of Beauty and Habit Beauty Salon’s Haircation, worked under a Redken Elite Artist, and attended numerous advanced color classes with celebrity artists from Joico, Wella, Goldwell and Redken, Ashton’s commitment to staying current with the latest trends and techniques shines through.
When asked, “Why Axle?” Ashton said, “To me, continued education and being able to offer the best possible services and products are a number one priority. Axle is a place that fosters my growth and continuously pushes me to reach higher. It’s a warm, caring, kind and supportive environment, so when the opportunity arose for me to work here it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.”
Stylist & Makeup Artist
Jacquelyn has been in the industry since 2005 doing both hair and makeup. She is certified in Goldwell, Wella, Diva Curl, Babe, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, and the top extension brands. She’s most proud of the Master Certification from Mario Dedivanovic’s first original master makeup class in Los Angeles, where Kim Kardashian was the model. Jacquelyn’s specialties include styling, dry cutting, coloring and bridal hair and makeup.
When asked, “Why Axle?” Jacquelyn said, “I love Axle so much because it feels like home. I have a strong support system, which is something hard to find in this industry. We all work with and support one another and I love working weddings with Jackie! The ‘Dream team!’ When you look beautiful, you feel beautiful, and that’s the kind of happiness and confidence that I try to give to my clients everyday at Axle!”
Stylist
Chiara has been in the industry since 2013. She graduated from Hair’s How Modern School of Beauty, though her training began long before that, watching her mother work as a stylist from a young age. Chiara excels in all areas of hairdressing, though she considers herself to be a blonding and extension specialist. Chiara is trained and skilled in all extension methods from bonds to sew-ins.
When asked, “Why Axle?” Chiara said, “This felt like a warm, collaborative, upbeat environment, and I wanted to be part of a salon where I could draw inspiration from others.”
Stylist + Makeup Artist
Lizzy has been in the industry doing both hair and makeup since 2020. She specializes in blondes, balayage, makeup, styling and blowouts.
When asked “Why Axle?” Lizzy said, “Axle welcomed me with kind and open arms. Everyone in the salon is there to help you, watch you grow, and see you succeed. They’re already a second family to me…The environment is always positive and we all work together to make sure each client leaves happy and satisfied with their service. I can’t see myself working anywhere else but here.”
Nurse Practitioner
Liz began her career as a nurse after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Nursing from Salem State University.
From there—she launched into an FNP program to complete a Master’s degree in Nursing with a speciality in Family Practice. Liz has worked in healthcare for the past 15 years, primarily specializing in Obstetrics and Women’s Health as a Labor and Delivery nurse.

In 2022, she graduated from Regis College and became certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in the State of Massachusetts.
As a member of Medical Aesthetics Association, Liz is certified in Neurotoxins under Medical Director Dr. Joseph Russo, a Harvard trained board-certified plastic surgeon.
When not injecting at Axle, Liz works as a Nurse Practitioner, specializing both in nutrition counseling and medical based weight management.
Makeup Artist
Kristen has been in the industry since 2009. Her education includes David Nicolas International, Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, MAC Cosmetics, NARS and Chanel corporate training. From events and photoshoots, to corrective work and coaching, she has experience in all facets of makeup application. She specializes in bridal makeup and weddings, and she loves teaching the art of makeup to other MUAs, as well as those outside the industry.
When asked, “Why Axle,” Kristen said: “I feel Axle chose me. It was truly meant to be! From the moment I met the team, I knew Axle was offering something beyond the typical service level to their clientele, and operating on a positive, creative, productive and inspirational level within our industry. I am always excited to go into work and I couldn’t imagine a better fitting environment than the one Axle provides both for me and my clients!”
